Signaling devices (optical/acoustic) | Stacking lights and signal horns/sirens available in different versions and IP protection classes. |
Control unit | The control unit is mounted on the sensor as standard, wall mounting is also possible. |
Twinhead version | To overcome the orientation effect, whereby conductive or magnetic contaminants run parallel to their respective fields, a special twin-head version is available. Two metal detectors at a 90° angle to one-another offset to ensure metal detection even in such cases. |
UltraSens model | Fast Power Drive (FPD) significantly enhances metal detection and reliability in industrial environments that fail to comply with pertinent electromagnetic compatibility standards. Available with a range of enclosure grades. |
Ferrous in Foil model | Special version for detecting magnetic metals packaged in aluminum-coated foils or aluminum trays. |
SHARKNET® | The SHARKNET® software connects METAL SHARK® metal detectors with a central computer, providing centralized storage of all operating data plus batch and alarm documentation for HACCP and IFS compliance. |
Performance Verification Certificate | Issue of a Performance Verification Certificate (proof of functionality for audits) by CASSEL service technicians, e.g. during commissioning or maintenance possible. |
BRC-Kit | With the optional BRC kit, the device meets the requirements of the Global Standard of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for food safety and thus also the established and generally recognized standards for HACCP and IFS. |

Monitors bulk materials in the mining and building materials industry
Self-adjusting and extremely easy to install
High-quality components ensure reliability and long service life
Detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals, iron oxide and ore are ignored
Probe and amplifier are immune to vibration and resistant to weather, dirt and stone chips
Sturdy aluminium design: particularly robust and easy to clean
Features
High sensitivity (M6 nuts) at belt speed of 0.1 – 4 m/s
Very simple operation
Can be used near frequency converters, only 1 m minimum distance between probe and motors or magnets
Monitoring and display of internal para-meters
Optional: Realization as tandem for higher debris heights
Optional: complete blanking of magneti-te Fe304
Function
The SQ and SQTA metal detectors offer good metal sensitivity for monitoring bulk materials in the mining and construction industry.
They are extremely durable, insensitive to vibrations and resistant to weather, dirt or stone chips. They are easy to install, handle and maintain.
Both are available for belt widths from 500 mm to 1,200 mm. At a belt speed of 0.1 – 4.0 m/s they can easily detect metal parts of the size of about M6 nuts and larger.
For a higher belt speed (M10 nuts) at a belt speed of max. 4.0 m/s we recommend the metal detectors SQ and SQTA.

Function
The METAL SHARK® OCTA has been developed for industrial applications in the timber industry and sawmills. It detects magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminants (iron, tombac, brass, stainless steel, etc.) precisely and reliably even under difficult conditions.
The octagonal shape makes it ideal for monitoring logs for metal parts such as shrapnel, bullet fragments, nails, screws, etc.
It is typically installed in troughed conveyor belts.
Accessories & Extras
The METAL SHARK® OCTA can be perfectly adapted to your production by various special designs and accessories.
Different temperature requirements are taken into account as well as complicated product requirements for metal detection.
Reliably detects metals in free-falling goods
Simple assembly due to mounting frame and quick release rings
Highest sensitivity with 4-quadrant technology
Autocalibration and TeachAssistant for intuitive control and easy installation
Maintenance-free through automatic balance and calibration control
ATEX-version for use in explosion endangered environments
BRC-Kit option: Conformity with the Global Standard of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for food safety
Function
The METAL SHARK® GF (Gravity Feed) is used for pipelines with free-falling products to detect metal contamination in continuously flowing granulates or powders such as sugar, flour, grain or even plastic granules.
The sensitive sensors detect the smallest metal contaminants, and fast-switching separation flaps discharge them directly from the product stream during ongoing production.
